The dumping of unacceptable materials in the recycling bins will result in the closure of the recycling compound.
E-Waste
E-waste refers to electronic consumer products that are considered to be obsolete, unwanted and available for discard. Items include computer equipement and peripherals, televisions, telephones and accessories, and audio and video equipment.
As of December 31st, 2018, the Responsible Electronics Recycling depot in Selkirk will no longer be accepting electronics for recycling. The Rural Municipality of Brokenhead will be looking for a new recycling depot to partner with to provide e-waste recycling services to our residents. We ask that you please hold onto your old electronics until further notice that we have made an agreement with a new facility.
Household Hazardous Waste
The Rural Municipality of Brokenhead will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day again this summer. Stay tuned for date and time!
Items with a hazard label indicating they are poisonous, corrosive, flammable, etc. can be brought at this time. If you are unable to attend, you can bring your household hazardous waste to The Miller Group in Winnipeg at this address:
