Conserving Water
The Town of Beausejour would like to inform ratepayers of a few ways to save money and help the environment. By installing low flow appliances and fixtures like toilets, showerheads, and faucets, ratepayers can reduce their metered usage, minimize the amount of wastewater that needs to be treated, and decrease the amount of materials required to treat and deliver potable water. Many of the low flow appliances and fixtures are inexpensive, easy to install, and can be picked up at your local hardware store.
Should a ratepayer choose to keep their old appliances and fixtures, there are still a few ways to save water at home. By never running a washing machine without a full load or by regularly checking for leaks, a ratepayer will reduce the chances of money flowing down the drain.
