|Recreation - General Information, Town of Beausejour & RM of Brokenhead|
Recreation and community activities have become the backbone of the Beausejour-Brokenhead lifestyle. With state-of-the-art facilities, our community has successfully staged many world-class events including the annual Canadian Power Toboggan Championships, the 2004 Scott Tournament of Hearts, the 2006 Manitoba Winter Games and the 2008 Strathcona Trust Senior Men’s Curling Championships.
Our community bustles with organized activities throughout the entire year with snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, skating, curling and hockey in the winter to motocross, hiking, canoeing, softball, soccer, swimming and golfing in the summer. In addition to countless community events and activities, some larger annual events include the Double B Rodeo and Country Fair, Great Woods Music Festival, Manitoba motocross races, Shades of the Past vintage car show, bi-annual craft and trade shows and the annual agricultural conference.
The geographical diversity of the Beausejour-Brokenhead region provides a year-round playground right on our doorstep.
